FAQs - Frequently Asked Legal Questions

A: Call our office at (859) 629-6111 or email us at blake@blakewrightlaw.com. We will schedule an appointment to discuss your case and decide together whether or not we can represent you in your case. If we decide to proceed, then we will sign a retainer agreement which will outline our representation.

A: Yes, please contact us at either the phone number or email address provided above.

A: Every case is different and requires a different fee structure. The initial consultation will cost you nothing. Generally speaking, cases are charged in one of three ways: a paid retainer with an hourly fee schedule, a contingency fee, or a flat fee. If we begin representation, then our signed retainer agreement will specify how you will be billed. Therefore, you will not owe a dollar until you fully understand the potential costs of the case.

A: There are many reasons an attorney may not be able to take a specific case. If that happens, we will refer you to another attorney in the area who may be able to help you with your legal issue.

A: We pride ourselves on maintaining open and frequent communication with our clients. We will walk you through the stages of your case and keep you informed as your case progresses. If at any time you have a question about the next step in your case, please call or email and we will be happy to answer any questions you have.

A: Not necessarily. Many cases are settled or resolved before a formal court hearing is necessary. Prior to a hearing, we will enter negotiations with the opposing side and weigh the pros and cons of the increased costs of a formal hearing versus a settlement. If a settlement is not reached, then you will be fully prepared to enter court and answer any questions while being actively counseled and represented during the entire hearing.

A: Every case is different. The complexity of your case, the court’s schedule, the response time of the opposing side are simply a few factors which determine the final resolution date of your case. We will work hard to resolve your case within a reasonable time and keep you fully informed of your case throughout the process.
